The Injustice of Justice
Truth is illegal in Godzone
Laughable Honour
"Men give away nothing so liberally as their advice."    Francois Rocheoucauld.

And it came to pass that the New Zealand Justice system was found to be suffering from an overdose of injustice.  Somehow honesty and decency offended the sensibilities of the
politicians.  There was no money in honesty and decency.  So they changed the law to suit
themselves.  What was once commonsense is punishable by a large fine.  Living majestically at public expense, the distinguished judges now impose sentences for the crime of truth telling.  But naturally none of the transgressions is their fault.  They're only obeying the law.

Justice in Godzone has reached the stage where Mr Joe Public can't afford to pontificate with the overpriced Law Lords.  Although, money doesn't bring intelligence, nor does intelligence bring money.  The mockery of thousands of dollars demanded to defend oneself from the legal system is simply human greed.

"But it's legal."  Scream the Law Lords from the deck of their ocean going yachts, while
silently agreeing with George Bernard Shaw that a government that robs Peter to pay Paul can always depend on the support of Paul.

"That doesn't make it honest."  Retorts Mr Joe Public, languishing dejectedly in designer
poverty.  He supports the ancient philosopher, Ovid, who said, "when there are no words,
support facts."

For words are the King of Evil Justice.  They mean what the
"experts" want them to mean
and as long as the dollars roll, justice is seen to be done.  The only thing Mr Joe Public can do is tell the truth because it will bring him mental prosperousness.  He will die peacefully while the
"experts" will continue sweating in anguish.  They forget that success is not the size of your wallet, but the nature of your character.  Conscience is only another word like freedom and democracy.  All three have passed from current usage because they are inconvenient and thus regarded as corruptive influences.

"Corruption must be destroyed."  Bellow the politicians bulldozing hundreds of thousands of dreams.  "It's in the national interest that corruption is vanquished.  How else can we save the people from themselves?"  They ignore the adage that if politicians were honest, they have no need to be politicians.

The Law Lords and politicians are well aware of the
Clarence Darrow saying that there is no such thing as justice.... in or out of court.  But the system employs a lot of professional do-gooders.  Therefore it benefits the tax revenue by pretending that justice is alive and well. But naturally it has to be controlled by superior human beings.  Obviously the peasants are not qualified, so it's left up to 'you know who.'

New Zealand has reached the stage where the
"experts" no longer have the trust of Mr Joe Public.  He's moving offshore in increasing numbers.  He takes his family, his electric jug and a sizable proportion of early NZ's artworks with him.  He leaves a hole that can never be refilled by those of lesser talent.  Emotionally and intellectually NZ is dying.  The wise man is well aware that poverty is the result of indecent  financial exploitation.  Once his savings have been 'redistributed' there is insignificant hope of recovery.  New Zealand may be a land of hope and glory but in reality, there's little hope and glory is reserved for the egotists.
Ouch!
Let the the peasants eat cake
