Mother Nature

I can't help but wonder if the recent topsy-turvy weather the world has experienced lately is deliberate. I've noticed the more stupid politicians become, the more adverse the weather. Is there someone on high pulling strings? Does God really exist or is he/she merely a figment of our imagination? After all, we can all find excuses and it's only human nature to find somebody else to blame for our behaviour. I suspect that's the reason man invented religion.... pray to an invisible God and when things go wrong, say it's God's will, shrug our shoulders and explain that we're not responsible. But God is still on our side. How many wars have been fought using this excuse?

The other theory is the old favourite, Mother Nature. Does she have a husband call Father Nature? What about their only begotten son called Nature Jr. Has he been allocated the task of controlling our local weather? Mother Nature is universally accepted as solely responsible for the climate and all life on Earth. We humans can't control ourselves let alone the weather. Therefore, it must be Mother Nature. We need a scapegoat.

Lets assume that Mother Nature is alive and well and living in Middle Earth. Beneath her fragile skin she's boiling hot, her face red with indignation at our disregard for her rules to treat all creatures great and small with respect. But we don't respect ourselves, so why should we respect other species. After all, we are superior and a dog is merely man's best friend that piddles on the carpet. We don't piddle on the carpet, well, not unless we've been drinking to relieve our anxiety at not being able to see far enough to locate the bathroom. Besides, piddling is natural. All animals piddle including the inferior species such as those horrible Muslims that own all the oil that we need to drive from place to place.

Have you noticed that since Bush's reelection, the inferior species have been kicking up and killing their masters almost on a daily basis? We don't do that sort of thing. It's not civilised for humans to kill each other. Inferior species, yes. In fact we excel in their mass slaughter. But not our own equals.

Have you noticed that since Arnie was elected governor, the weather in California has
responded with unseasonable conditions? Snow, ice and heavy rain. Yet the song says it never rains in California. So why does it happen? Was it the result of banning smoking in bars? Volcanoes and cars smoke all around the world, so why aren't they banned?

Even little New Zealand is suffering. Last night my area suffered the second hundred-year flood in less than a year. Does this mean we'll be flood free for the next 200 years? The past year our politicians have excelled in legislation that has created nothing but objections. There has been much detrimental publicity since the December smoking ban, that the weather has reverted from summer to winter. What caused the weather to deteriorate? There's also been a number of powerful earthquakes. Is Mother Nature shaking her head at the irresponsibility of our politicians? Is she deliberately breeding more camels to upset the Australian Government. I wonder what the Southern Asian Governments did to cause her to hiccup the Tsunami that killed thousands of innocents. But I guess eating puppy dogs and pet rabbits might have something to do with it.

Since global warming became politically correct and the 'in' thing. Mother Nature has been creating hell with our weather. Maybe she's trying to tell us that planet Earth belongs to her and that 99.9% of all species are extinct because of her unpredictable moods. Maybe she's giving us notice to expect the worst? Lets be fair. Man is the only species to try and adapt the earth to his way of thinking. No other species was ever silly enough. Whatever happens, we will get precisely what we deserve. Mother Nature will see to that.
