Like the rest of the world, New Zealand is experiencing an upsurge in violence and teenage drinking binges.  There's no mystery why: the answer is obvious to any thinking person.  It's human nature rebelling against the social engineering and oppressive legislation of the current dictatorial regime.  On every continent..... to small Pacific Islands, politicians believe they know what's best for the people who pay for their overindulgences.  Things that have been socially acceptable for hundreds of years are suddenly declared health hazzards and made illegal.  Carefully organised propaganda machines swing into action to justify what is little more than political egos running riot.  Endless lies repeated endlessly, is the same technique Adolf Hitler used to control the German masses in the 1930's.  NZ politicians consider
themselves above the laws they create in moments of designer madness.  Should an accusing finger be pointed at them: retrospective legislation justifying their stance conveniently lets them off the hook.  Effectively this means that they can do anything they like, no matter how stupid or unnecessary.

Scare tactics such as terrorism, smoking and jail for petty crimes are used to control the social
behaviour of the people.  Official idiocy is written off as,
"we are only thinking of the people's welfare, therefore you will do as you're told, or else!"  Repressive laws are also effective money making machines.  Fined $150 for exceeding the speed limit by 5 kph.  It's cheaper to pay the fine than defend oneself against a justice system designed as a political ATM.  Telling the truth is no longer politically acceptable.  Money and submissiveness is demanded as of right by all authorities, be they national government or local council.

We want you to spend your money in our town, so we've provided parking lots at $2 per half hour.  Fined $60 for an extra minute.  Strangely, the Wellington City Council doesn't understand why I won't go near their overpriced and over regulated city.

To protect our youth, no smoking in parks and reserves.....cites a mayoral nincompoop who dishes out pot plants to the 100 year old winner of the annual round the spa pool wheelchair race.  No drinking in the CBD because council workers have to clean up the mess.  Besides, teenagers brawling at midnight when the shops are shut, is bad for business.  No hosing the garden on odd days in the week.  We need the water for our council nursery to grow shrubs so their leaves can block the drains when it's raining.  By cleaning the drains we can be seen to be doing something constructive for our rate payers.

No physical disciplining of children is allowed, cite NZ's politicians.  It's bad for their self respect.  If you smack your kids bum, we will physically lock you up in jail where you will be beaten up.  Public violence is always answered by more and better official violence.  That's how we keep control. We'll decide what sort of behaviour is acceptable, not you.  Families don't matter anymore.  The law comes first and we will decide what the law will be.

As a result, senseless crime is increasing hand over fist.  Home invasions are rife and murders occur on an almost daily basis.  Teenagers may be mentally immature but they know when they're getting a bad deal from the authorities.  Binge drinking is one way they can express themselves.  Student loans are crippling their financial future and the brighter kids disappear offshore, never to return to the land of low pay and oppressive legislation.

If one studies history, it shows the only really viable laws are those created by parents to teach their kids the difference between right and wrong.  All I can suggest that the people of Planet Earth combine to teach their politicians what is acceptable and what is not.  Considering all politicians get their bums kicked sooner or later, just what is being achieved by their irrational arrogance?

Learning from history cost nothing.  As Adolf Hitler said: to abuse power is to invite oneself
to open ended retribution.
"If you think things should be different, remember that thinking is not politically acceptable."      Broughton
