Survival of the Internet

The Internet can be a nuisance to politicians.  However, the world will rue the day
when they decide the Internet no longer serves their purposes.  Internet Service Providers
(ISP's) may be forced to bar any website that disagrees with official policy or questions
political veracity.  Many ISP's already display lack of courage and only host websites they
consider inoffensive.  Unfortunately, many large news media controlled websites are so
politically correct, it's enough to make one spew.  After all, the almighty dollar rules and why should they give a damn about justice?
Sadly, mentally stimulating websites are being thrown on the scrap heap of political
expediency for the sake of conformity. Yet they are immeasurably important because they
demonstrate the independent thinking of millions of educated people around the world.  The end result is frustrating when the intelligent are ignored for dubious political rationalizations.
Stop for a moment and think about the qualifications needed to be a politician.
Ten
seconds thought will indicate that there are none.
No accoutrements remotely resembling honesty, decency and commonsense are prerequisite.  Although the ability to keep a straight face while distorting the truth is essential.  Yet they have the audacity to insist that they are the fund of all knowledge.  Excuse me while I laugh.
Only a fool would believe that politicians have the interest of their constituents at
heart.  If you think they act in the national interest, consider the worldwide condemnation of
the Afghanistan and Iraq invasions.  The reasons advanced have been shown to be ambivalent and hardly an excuse for politically favoured big business to take over foreign assets.  What about the troops and countless civilians killed chasing the increasingly corrupt corporate dollar?  Are money and political power more important than the lives of ordinary people?
The USA economy is on the way to collapsing from internal division and massive debt
and countries sucking up to Uncle Sam will undoubtedly suffer.  Obviously, there's nothing
wrong with the American people when they exhibit normal commonsense and think for
themselves.  They staged the American Revolution to obtain freedom from tyranny or was the revolt simply to enable today's politicians to exercise their immoderation?  With big business moving offshore for cheaper labour costs and the increasing unemployment, who is going to fund welfare and education?
It seems strange for a technically advanced civilisation but recently there was a massive
electricity outage in the USA.  Perhaps they should spend more money on basic infrastructures and forget about invading countries that offer no threat and simply want to be left alone. Perhaps an electrical storm or a fallen tree is Mother Nature's way of reminding us of just who is really in charge.
Contentious websites are essential and should be supported because they show that
much good can be achieved when alternative opinions are considered.  There's no need for extremes, just time proven philosophies that recommend the indispensable intelligence that made the human race the dominant species on Planet Earth.  With certain countries seemingly wanting to take over the world by military means, one wonders just how long mankind will continue to exist?  Is it really to our advantage to encourage the
God of Double Standards and Cupidity?
