Custers Last Stand |

Well folks, I guess it's goodbye to LewisNews. After 8 long years, I guess
Schantz has had enough of living in poverty. It's sad that his unstinting
efforts have fallen on deaf ears. But life recycles and I wish him the best.
Apart from lack of donations, he seems to have endless problems with
his phone lines. It's almost impossible to run a website when you lose connection
5-6 times an hour. Maybe he should relocate to Canada? It seems strange to me that Qwest won't fix the problem. Here in New Zealand, we occasionally lose power during bad weather but I can't remember the phones dying. I have a gut feeling that his bad connections might well be political. It's not uncommon for alternative news websites to be hacked and have controversial items removed. I recall a while back that Yellow Times had to swap ISP's twice to find somebody that would host their site. Axisoflogic has also had problems. With the Presidential elections looming, sites that promote truth might well be subject to official scrutiny. You can forget about the USA being a democracy. It isn't and hasn't been for many years. Perhaps the phone lines are being tampered with and Schantz has got so fed up, that he's tossing in the towel? Naturally the authorities will say it's nothing to do with them. Maybe truth is being sacrificed for political reasons? Bureaucrats will do absolutely anything ordered of them and accept no responsibility for their actions. If only 10% of Germany's bureaucrats had said NO to Adolf Hitler. World War 11 would never have happened and nearly 80 million lives would have been saved. It's an established fact that if we fail to learn from history, it repeats itself. I have an American staying with me at the moment. He's 62 and has had a gutful of his homeland. He wants to spend the rest of his life in a laid back environment where you can put things off until tomorrow. He tells me he's seen Americans who have committed no crimes but have had their homes ransacked and bank accounts stolen by various authorities, simply because they can get away with it. I understand the White House uses national parks as security to borrow many trillions of dollar that the American people will never be able to repay. Then they turn around and say that the state that hosts the park is responsible. Thus the numbers do not appear on the nation debt. A simple slight of hand and who can prove otherwise? It seems obvious that US society is deteriorating into chaos. Human rights are being abused using the scare of terrorism as an excuse to suppress an otherwise decent people. But in all fairness, NZ is going the same way but on a much smaller scale. We recently had a bunch of black shirt religious fanatics march on parliament. They have the democratic right to march but I can't help wondering if Germany of the 1930's is being recycled. We should all remember that governments mainly have armies to protect themselves from their own people. It's a last resort thing, but politicians have killed more of their own people than diseases ever will. And most governments have the cheek to call themselves democratic! About a year ago I wrote an article entitled The Survival of the Internet. It was published on Yellow Time, LewisNews and about 200 other sites. I am informed it was read by approximately 200 million readers. You can read this article on www.yellowtimes.org or visit my website, www.lbrought.com Opinion pages. Perhaps what I wrote is coming true? Ask yourself, just what sort of world are we creating for future generations? Good luck to you, Schantz. From the Incorrigible Kiwi. |
